South East Community Links is a community organisation that provides support to community members in numerous areas including financial counselling, case management, housing, youth services, family violence response, settlement, emergency relief and prevention programs. As part of the Safer and Stronger Communities Pilot, SECL (together with their Afghan and Indian co-design team members) have developed a select range of multi-lingual resources for Dari, Hazaragi, Hindi, Punjabi and Tamil speaking community members. The videos are a culturally adapted version of the original Vic Health and Our Watch CHANGE THE STORY. These culturally adapted versions provide insights into how gender inequality is experienced by some Afghan and Indian community members. This is a family violence prevention resource that has been created by the community for the community. The voices you hear are those of SECL’s co-design community members speaking in their language; Dari, Hazaragi, Hindi, Punjabi and Tamil.
