You are warmly invited to our virtual Report to the Community 2021 on Thursday 11 November. In a repeat of 2020, we will be gathered in our 'Zoom room' and you are welcome to join us from 2pm onwards. It was fantastic to see 60-plus people last year, and we look forward to another enjoyable afternoon. As part of the event, we will unveil our 2020-21 Annual Report which has the theme Community Justice on the Frontline. With the impact of COVID-19 dominating, legal issues steadily appearing post-2020 bushfires, our ongoing work to help young people experiencing family violence through the Invisible Hurdles project, and family and domestic violence victim survivors in need of legal assistance, the HRCLS team delivered another strong year, with plenty of notable achievements. Our special guests include North East Law Association President Amanda Toner and Health Justice Australia CEO Tessa Boyd-Caine to talk about the importance of legal help during disasters and crisis, and how strong local partnerships play a large role in ensuring services get to those most in need. Registering beforehand (you'll find the link below) would be appreciated, so we have an idea of how many of our friends and partners we’ll be welcoming on the day. Look forward to seeing you then! Please contact Simon Crase via email at scrase@umfc.com.au with any queries. We'd also like to mention our social media channels! If you're not already following us, please give us a 'Like' of 'Follow' on Facebook or Twitter. It's how you can stay up-to-date with what we're doing, and what's happening in our community legal sector. |
